About Sookie Saves
Who is Sookie?
Sookie was the first rescue that came into my life, she was my husbands cat. He rescued her when living in Virgina, and volunteering at an animal shelter. She had a streak of bad luck, being returned twice, until one day he said Sook, you're coming with me! Sookie brought so much joy into our lives, she taught us what it meant to create a special bond with a rescued pet. To have patience and provide a safe place for them to land, and in return have a forever friend as part of your family. When she passed, we wanted her legacy to live on, and so became, Sookie Saves. A way to give back to local organizations who are trying to make a positive impact on the stray community here in Arizona.
Our Mission
At Sookie Saves, our mission is to provide a funding source for local animal organizations such as, rescues, no kill shelters and animal clinics in order to reduce the stray population in Arizona and have a greater impact on our rescue community.

I can't wait to update this 1 year from now and talk about the impact we have had in our community! Until then, I will tell you the impact I want to have. I want to help current rescues sustain their organizations, provide resources to rescues wanting to expand and provide more free spray and neuter clinics around the Valley of the Sun!
